In 2000, I received a letter from Canada Revenue Agency with a new application form the Disability Tax Credit and when I read through the form both my Dr. and I thought I no longer qualified. My medical condition is myasthenia gravis.

I met Linda Chornobay at the Annual General Meeting for the Queens Own Rifle in the summer of 2010. She was invited to speak about the Federal Disability Tax Credit. I was very sceptical at first when I talked to Linda Chornobay of Enabled Financial Solutions Ltd. about a possible disability tax credit.
I completed all the forms with Linda.
As a form was not forthcoming, Linda called us directly several times to prompt our Doctor to complete the forms for us. After six months, a Disability Tax Credit was not yet completed.
Linda dealt directly with our Doctor. She made a special trip to his office, argued the “gray area” with him and he willingly obliged her requests.
He was so impressed with the service of Enabled Financial Solutions Ltd. and the fact that the service provided by this firm would alleviate completely his receiving a four page questionnaire, from CRA, which could easily result in a denial – he agreed to refer all his patients to Enabled Financial Solutions Ltd.
As promised, Linda was successful in getting me a ten year refund with future benefits. Thank you Linda!

Enabled Financial Solutions were able to get my Disability Tax Credit reinstated and I received substantial refunds going back to 2001. In the fall of 2007, I contacted Linda Chornobay for assistance in my medical tax review and possible refund. Expecting a very trying experience, I was quickly put at ease by

For several years I have known that I was disabled but when I said this to my doctors they were somewhat non-committal. They just did not know the in’s and out’s of the government’s specifications.
Then I met a Disability Tax Refund Specialist, Linda Chornobay, who knew a lot more than I did and a lot more than my doctors did. I don’t think doctors have to know everything. She presented a seminar at the Ridge almost a year ago. (April, 2009) I couldn’t get to the meeting so I called her and she came to my home. At our meeting she told me we could go back 10 years! I provided the Assessment Notices from CRA for the past 10 years and received a refund of all the tax I had paid for the past 10 years! Nowhere is that stated in CRA’s bulletin. CRA doesn’t make it easy for Canadians to claim disability but in my case they even paid me interest on the refund!!!
We may know of many others who are disabled and don’t know that they are eligible for the DTC. Let’s watch out for them.
